Confirm the setup before changing the bar

A four-tip bar is a possible configuration, not an automatic upgrade. Ask the cleaner manufacturer to confirm the proposed bar, spindle connection and complete nozzle setup for your machine's operating flow and pressure.

Whisper Wash lists two-tip and four-tip Legacy configurations for selected models, and describes its Triforce configuration as matched to machine flow. These are manufacturer-specific options; their existence does not establish that another cleaner can accept the same bar.

Separate deck size from bar dimensions

General Pump's DCFSCP18 page lists an 18-inch deck, while its parts document identifies the deck and rotary arm as separate components. A cleaner's advertised size is not a substitute for confirming the replacement bar's actual span and clearance.

The same model's instructions specify a maximum flow of 8 GPM. Its dimensions therefore do not make it suitable for a proposed 10 US GPM application. Confirm the flow and pressure limits of the complete cleaner alongside the replacement parts.

Nozzle count is not a sizing method

General Pump's nozzle chart relates orifice size to pressure and flow. Counting tips does not identify the required orifices. Have the manufacturer specify the complete nozzle set for the proposed bar and operating conditions rather than transferring the old tips by assumption.

Our proposed compatibility record includes the cleaner model, bar part number and actual span, spindle connection and thread, permitted rotation, deck clearance, nozzle set, and operating limits. A photograph or an apparently matching thread is not the complete record.

Inspect condition before considering an upgrade

General Pump's DCFSCP18/GZ instructions warn users to keep clear of rotating nozzles. They also say to stop if an impact is followed by vibration, with continued operation risking injury or equipment damage. Those directions belong to that model; use the exact cleaner's instructions for inspection and service.

Do not use a parts change to bypass unresolved damage. Establish the cleaner's condition and compatible configuration first, then assess any claimed improvement through an actual, documented evaluation. This article reports no such test.
