Soft wash gets described like it's a compromise, as if we chose the careful option. It's the opposite. High pressure on siding and stucco drives water into wall cavities, blasts the face off older stucco, and streaks everything it touches. The house looks clean for two weeks, then the streaks and the trapped moisture show up and the phone starts ringing.
Soft wash puts the chemistry where the growth is and keeps the pressure where the finish is. The solution kills algae, mildew, and the organic film that Florida humidity feeds on. Low pressure rinses the dead material away. The clean lasts years on some elevations, not months, because the organism is dead instead of relocated.
Which part of the house gets what
Stucco and siding get the full soft wash. Soffits, fascia, and trim get hand work around the edges where algae hides. Brick gets soft wash plus a targeted rinse, because mortar joints are older than they look. Windows get detailed separately if you want them. And the landscaping gets protected the whole time, beds pre-wetted, solution kept off what isn't the job.
