Buddy’s adoption story
From Pup to Superhero: Buddy’s Story
Read Buddy’s whole story →Before the cape and the Super Buddy emblem, there was a brown-and-white puppy named Buddy. Chuck adopted him through Fur Sisters, and he became part of the Safe Touch family.
These early photos show the little dog behind the superhero: peeking out of the Safe Touch vehicle, taking in the world through the side mirror, and sharing the window with a canine companion. His face is the inspiration for Super Buddy, our blue-suited, red-caped mascot. The superhero is an illustration. The dog—and his adoption story—are real.
Fur Sisters places rescued dogs in volunteers’ homes while they prepare for adoption. Their process includes care, basic manners and, when needed, help from training partners. They take time to match dogs with homes that suit them. That work gives adopters a chance to get to know the dog behind the photo.

From pup to superhero, Buddy’s story began with an adoption. We’re grateful to Fur Sisters for bringing him into our family, and we hope his story helps another dog find a home of their own.
